Innovation Excavation

Demolition Services in Seattle & Tacoma, WA

Getting water, sewer, gas, and electrical to your property takes more than just digging a hole. It takes proper depth, the right bedding material, and exact coordination with utility providers and local inspectors. Innovation Excavation handles utility installation and trenching for residential and commercial projects across Western Washington.

Whether you are connecting a new home to city services, replacing an aging water main, or running conduit for electrical service, we get it done right and on schedule

01.
Trenching for New Construction

New construction almost always requires utility trenching. We work closely with general contractors to schedule trenching in the right sequence so other trades are not held up waiting for us. We dig to the required depth, install bedding material, and backfill and compact to spec so the ground settles properly after the job is done.

In Western Washington, trench depth varies by utility type and local code. Water lines typically go at least 18 inches deep to stay below frost depth. Sewer laterals are installed with the right slope for gravity flow, usually a quarter inch per foot. We know these requirements and follow them on every job.

02.
Water Line Repair and Replacement

Old galvanized and clay water lines fail. When they do, the signs show up fast: low pressure, soggy ground, or a spiking water bill. We locate the leak, excavate, and repair or replace the line. We work quickly because we know a broken water line is not something you can wait on.

For full replacements, we install modern PVC or copper lines that are designed to last. We also improve accessibility points when possible so future repairs are faster and cheaper.

03.
Sewer Lateral Installation and Repair
Connecting to the public sewer system or repairing a damaged lateral requires coordination with your local utility provider and a building permit in most cases. We handle the permit process, schedule the required inspections, and complete the work to code. We have installed sewer laterals throughout King County, Pierce County, and the surrounding area.
